Fred, I find myself agreeing with your first paragraph. I seem to be re-assembling my earliest memories almost daily... And being amazed at the clarity of some of my earliest "rememories". I also fondly recall the pages of FFF that were part of my almost daily routine.

Wow. Thanks for the re-imaginings of what once was, and the where and when of it all. Seems dreamlike and otherworldly but our world changes and it changes us. I appreciate the visitation to that remote and well-known creek valley I knew so well over the years.
Beautiful pictures in a photogenic countryside. I recall that a power company proposed a pump storage project for the upper New River that would have placed similar countryside under water.

I certainly enjoyed reading this and seeing that Fragments from Floyd page! I don’t recall the left column back in the day when I started reading in 2003 or 2004. Promoting your wonderful book did make for a busy, good life!
