Thinking Globally. Acting In Floyd, Virginia
Great Strides Can Come from SustainFloyd's Small Steps
I just wanted to tell those of you who are “not from around here” about an opportunity to do good work, at the end of 2022, with your charitable contributions, though I admit I am biased.
I served on the board of SustainFloyd for 13 years, and have seen and benefitted from the fruits of our efforts in this small Blue Ridge County. The most persistent of these, perhaps, is the thriving community market that is quickly becoming a travel destination.
If you take a quick look at this brief overview above of the organization and it’s projects, and feel compelled to support them-and-us in Floyd County, Virginia, follow the link below. And tell them Fred sent you! Thanks!
I suggest you get the big picture of Sustainfloyd by starting at the home page, but you can skip to the DONATION link — if you’re in a hurry and have a plane to catch.

🌎 NOTE: No surprise, I am on board with the biodiversity focus for SF in 2023! Preserving forest corridors for wildlife migration and habitat, for instance, is something all land-owners can help with.
That fact regarding the nature Conservancy about the importance of Appalachia is a great selling point to get donations to sustain Floyd!
