Hey Fred,

Your recent Field Notes conveyed a somber tone. It appears that your current residence does not provide the same level of stimulation you experienced in Floyd. You may want to view your residence as a home base for travel, which can invigorate your reflections. Additionally, you might consider using a camper for overnight excursions.

If you have mobility issues, check out Will Harlow’s “Thriving Beyond Fifty”. He discusses movements to ease pain anywhere in the body and has a website with many helpful YouTube videos.

Consider adopting a senior dog from a rescue center. These dogs are typically house-trained, more temperate than puppies, and grateful for the opportunity to have a home. Additionally, taking them for walks twice daily will encourage outdoor activity and provide regular exercise.

I am hoping for many field notes in the years ahead.

Some form of internet will always exist, but software changes can make old files unreadable. Consider what happened to floppy disks. I am concerned about the future of your Fragments web page with its many thoughtful comments and beautiful pictures. Leopold would likely have preferred browsing the Fragments website over taking ketamine.
