Thinking of you, and Ann. I remember the multiple calls a day from my mother to our answering machine and how she would say she hadn't called. 20 years later I wish I could hear her voice again.
It appears you are developing a system that provides greater opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Thank you for sharing the photo—I appreciate the contrasting shaded background.
Additionally, I have looked into Sharon McCrumb, whom you mentioned in an earlier post. I enjoyed her essay "The Serpentine Chain," which offers valuable commentary on Appalachian culture, and I am currently reading her latest book, "She Walked These Mountains."
Whew! The struggle between heart, reason and need to build a future….so similar to the grief journey experienced in the death of my husband, but he does not exist down the hall. Such a very difficult path. I am impressed how you have managed all of the intricacies and appreciate your willingness to share. Thank you.
Bless you both on this difficult journey . Thanks you for your truth and the lovely photo.
It's so hard to move away from too much caregiving. Good for you to experiment and to value yourself and your pursuits. I love the pics!

Thanks for the update, Fred. That is wonderful that she is not in her room very much anymore! And I hope you will be sending more photos soon.
