So glad it worked out for you guys to have the original situation. Your current place does remind me of when I was 25 and new to the D.C. area. I rented an apartment in Old Town, only to find the first evening that it overlooked six lanes of Interstate. I decided that it sounded like the ocean, and that helped me get sleep. I don't think I could use a similar ruse on myself as effectively today.

I hope you can settle in and find good opportunities for outdoor adventures finally. Your mention of a bicycle makes me wonder if you are still bicycling.

from AI:

The Joy of Larger Living Space

In a home where walls once pressed so tight,

Now open rooms bathe in the light.

A breath of freedom, a sigh of grace,

The joy of a larger living space.

Windows wide, the sun pours in,

A dance of shadows on the skin.

Echoes of laughter, a gentle trace,

In the heart of a larger living space.

Corners once crowded, now serene,

A canvas for dreams, a tranquil scene.

Every step, a newfound pace,

In the expanse of a larger living space.

Rooms that whisper, “Come explore,”

With every inch, there’s so much more.

A haven, a retreat, a warm embrace,

The endless joy of a larger living space.
