Thinking of you and Ann as you have somewhat separate experiences.

I enjoyed the interview, your poem, the John Denver song, and especially your musing on heaven and how it will prompt you to write your manifesto, and your living obituary. Please share them when you do. I was recently discussing eternal life, and my hypothesis is that there will be no time dimension. I definitely like the idea that it will be whatever you want it to be.

Thanks for the link to the John Denver video. I had not seen it before--many beautifl images.

When it comes to the future, as we say in church, "I believe in the resurrection." However, the nature of the afterlife remains a mystery we must wait to experience. Instead of speculating about it, time might be better spent solving a Sudoku puzzle.

I immediately heard John Denver's song in my head when I saw the title of this post -it has long been one of my favorites. He kind of fell off my radar in the 80's, and I have only rediscovered him and his later songs in the past couple of years, and they seem even lovelier to me now. I sing along sometimes, occasionally through tears but mostly with joy. He was a true music therapist. So sing Fred, and feel the gratitude. And thank you for this post.

My forever retirement plan is a nice condo in New Jerusalem. Hopefully on an upper floor with a fantastic view.
